GRAMMAR

Unit #1

The use of passives is up to every day, for example in the news most of the time passives are used, because journalists always says what they hear, they basically says what is believed or known. Learning to use passive is not that difficult, but it is very important to learn the grammar as it can be very useful in our daily working lives. In addition most times people repeat what they hear so it is essential to use passive correctly.

Unit #2

How often the people compare things, objects, etc.? I think it's something of every day, so it is important to know several ways to make comparisons. Many times there are big differences between what we want to compare, other times there is little difference or are equal. in my opinion this grammar point is basic, is something that we should use frequently so it is essential to know the different ways to say the same without be saying the same sentence, because if we talk or we write the right way others can note our knowledge.
Unit #3

The use of tenses is something that always is a little difficult. In this unit the basic rules for use the past tense are given, the simple past, the past continuous, the past perfect and past perfect continuous. In my case this tense is the one I find most difficult, it always causes me some confusion. Although there are rules, in different when you have to put in practice this knowledge because the practices in class or the homework sentences with contexts that are a bit tangled and often you do not know what the right time to use. But as all the people know you have to practice and always keep in mind in specific cases which each is used.
Unit #4

In every stage of life will exist doubt. Many times we want something but do not know if we can achieve or do (depends on what we want) because of external factors or things that are “out of our hands”. In this unit, of grammar is about the future probability. These possibilities are divided into 4:
1. Will almost definitely happen
2. Likely to happen
3. Unlikely to happen
4. Impossible
Each of these is used in different contexts depending on the situation, it is important to know these expressions, as in my case I did not know all this expressions, but to study and understand I can add to my English vocabulary and in this way increase my learning.

Unit #5

Most of the time will be situations where we depend on certain things to achieve something. In the unit 5 we did a review of conditionals. There are 6 phrases that can be used depending on the context of the sentence, for example if I want to be more formal I use “if you will” or if I want to express desire “if only”. In my case, I often get tangled when I have to use each of these phrases, but in general most of the time it is easier to implement because of the context of the sentences. It is not difficult but you have to do is remember the expressions.

Unit #6
Something as easy as articles can become so difficult to use, is easy to use them incorrectly. In my case the use of "the" has always been a bit confusing, because sometimes I use it more than I should, that mean that I use the articles incorrectly. When I speak English I always have many errors which are automatically translate into the writing. It's just a matter of knowing that each is used and be careful when speaking or writing, always be aware of what is being said to correct it.

Unit #7
The relative clauses are used to combine sentences. In the writing know how to use it correctly is a big advantage, because you don´t have to put a point every “5 words”. This part of the grammar helps us to understand all the context of the situation that happen or is happening at the moment. The only that is very important knowing to use the correct relative clause is differentiate when the information is really necessary to understand the sentence and when this information is only extra information added. For me this topic is very easy because doesn't have like an especial structure or something difficult, you only have to know when you use “that” or a “w-word”.
Unit #8
This part of the grammar is highly used. People always tend to say what other people feel, think, say, etc., so it is easy to identify with this topic. I remember when I was in high school this part of grammar became extremely difficult to me, but since the teacher of English 3 explained me this, I find it easy. The only you need is be very careful and see the entire context in order to put the verb in the correct form.
Unit #9

How often wished we had done something different but it's too late?, the unreal past is used to write or talk about all those things that we would like to do but we did not it mean speak about an unreal or imaginary situation in the past. We often think what would have happened if we had done something else and maybe we have the answer for this question. In this unit will give us 4 ways depending on what has happened, to mention unreal situations:
• Wish or If only
• It's high time or It’s about time
• Would rather
• What if or Suppose
